NEWS: Paula Abdul, Steve Jones Take Fans Behind The Scenes Of ‘The X Factor’ Publicity Shoot

The US premiere of ‘The X Factor‘ is coming soon and now judge Paula Abdul and host Steve Jones are taking fans behind the scenes of their first publicity photo shoot.

The judges, including Nicole Scherzinger, Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid, are all featured in the video, which offers interviews and candid moments from the Miami studio where the press images were shot. The stars are shown laughing and having a blast, proving that work can also be fun. “It’s been the best time,” Abdul says. “It’s the most fun I’ve had at a group photo session.”

“Obviously, Simon is far too important to attend a shoot like this, so we’ve got this guy who looks almost identical to him,” host Steve Jones jokes to the camera before walking over to a deadpan Cowell. Jones later quips about the show’s creator saying that “you can hear a pin drop backstage” when he’s about to speak.

“Working with Simon, we ended up cultivating a very bizarre but unhealthy healthy working relationship, and there’s something that happens when we’re brought together,” Abdul adds. “It’s like an old married couple. Seriously.”

‘The X Factor’ will premiere on Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 8PM on FOX.
