PhotosFormer American Idol judge Paula Abdul was recently in NYC promoting her new dance competition show, Live to Dance, which will premiere on CBS this January. And — as luck would have it! — we got the chance to catch up with the “Straight Up” songstress. Abdul, of course, wanted to mostly keep the focus on the hundreds of sets of twinkle toes that were there to audition for the talent competition, but we managed to sneak in a few questions about American Idol and the upcoming X-Factor. Click on the video below to hear her thoughts on her new CBS dance show, as well as what she has to say about American Idol‘s new judging panel, if the show (without Simon!) can still be successful going forward, and whether she might reunite with Cowell on X-Factor‘s judging panel next fall.
